AFSCME Presidents Agree to
Put Contract Offer to Membership Vote
Every Member
Should Vote NO!
The
AFSCME Local Presidents have tentatively agreed to a terrible contract
offer. It is barely better than the one
we rejected last March by a 62% margin.
The
majority of Presidents have once more caved in to AFSCME Council 25 President
Al Garrett. Only Local 207’s John Riehl and Local 2920’s Emily Kunze, voted NO
on the tentative agreement.. Now the
members must unite and reject this latest insult from Kilpatrick. Voting
arrangements will be announced soon. The vote is supposed to be finalized by
July 18. Complete contract details will be distributed before then.
Here
are the points in the T.A. which differ from the offer we rejected in March (other
parts of the rejected contract would still apply):
§
